World Wide Programs -

As the whole world has been impacted by a single Virus, we are also seeing a new era of world wide programs. As we have all been “enabled” with free time I have been captivated with the endeavor of a world wide vaccination program and an upgrade to a new 5G spectrum. With a higher level of coordination, resources, issues, and likely higher risk such programs will likely need new processes, methodologies, structures, and leadership capabilities.

As I work in developing an Enterprise Project Controls Methodology (EPCM) from solid experience in varying industries, it is important as all planners out there, to look further ahead than the current issues in front. So I am leap frogging to what will natural emerge should more of these multi regional and integrated sector driven programs emerge. From my work in global and large corporations the Enterprise Project Controls Methodology (EPCM) is still limited in achieving greater profitability and market share, while; these world wide programs are already threading through political, cultural, and legal mountains. It will be fascinating to follow this emergence from the World Wide Vaccine Program, 5G implementation, Silk and Road Initiative, and any other multinational programs.

The first step today is to establish a starting structure as seen below. The challenging part and likely evolution will come when collection of information budget, resources, people, etc. does not structure itself as seen below; however, the structure below is the typical Program Management Structure in large programs.
